Sustainability – an added value for our community
The idea of sustainability is the basis of our Stiftsgut Keysermühle. The well-being of the individual and the well-being of the community, the guests as well as our employees, is equally important to us as a prudent approach to nature, the environment and ecological and economic ressources.

Our philosophy is based on an added value (MehrWert-) system. Social added value, ecological added value, economic added value and innovative strength are the central elements. Can our guests expect more than being „Keyser:in“? Those who have already been guests at Stiftsgut Keysermühle not only give us plus points for good service, beautiful location, good food … but are convinced of the „MehrWert“ of the Stiftgut. „Added value? No, we are not talking about an additional „beauty goodie“, „fitness programme“ or „gourmet package“, but about more humanity, more care for nature, more social consideration, more heart!

The Stiftsgut Keysermühle is a company with particularly fair working conditions that offer participation structures and creative freedom for each of our employees. At the centre of our 40-member team are 14 employees with disabilities who enjoy equal rights. As an inclusive company, we live inclusion with responsibility and joy! It is important to us that all our employees are treated with respect.
Ecological AddedValue
Energy and resource conservation as well as environmentally conscious actions are the responsible basis of all areas of our corporate management. We pay attention to renewable raw materials in the furnishing of our hotel rooms as well as to regional, seasonal, predominantly bio-food in our restaurant. We work with renewable energies, heat with pellets from Germany, use only cleaning agents made from renewable raw materials and the hotel linen is not changed daily.
Economic AddedValue
The Stiftsgut Keysermühle is integrated into an economic cycle oriented towards the common good. Core elements here are: the promotion of regional economic cycles, innovative forms of financing through microloans, lending and donation communities, foundation loans and the promotion of citizen participation and responsibility..
Innovative power
We think the future with added value for all. The Stiftsgut Keysermühle sees itself as a platform and development studio in equal measure. Companies, representatives of municipal institutions, associations and organisations will find inspiring, modern conference facilities here. For citizens, we offer our own academy programmes of our Keysermühle-integrated Citizens‘ Foundation „Bürgerstiftung Pfalz“.

A project of the Citizens' Foundation Palatinate
The Stiftsgut Keysermühle is a project of the Bürgerstiftung Pfalz, a community initiative of citizens of the Palatinate, and is committed to a special system of values. At the centre of this system are:
the protection and preservation of natural habitats in the region
promoting the use of sustainable economic methods
improving the opportunities of socially disadvantaged people and enabling them to act in a socially responsible way
the revitalisation and enrichment of the region.

The Citizens‘ Foundation Palatinate has set itself the goal of filling 40% of the jobs at the Stiftsgut with people with impairments in order to give them a chance to find their place in society on an equal footing.
The Stiftsgut Keysermühle is therefore a non-profit organisation and is supported by the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and Aktion Mensch.
Common Good Economy
With the common good balance sheet of the initiative „Gemeinwohl-Ökonomie“ (common good economy), we have found an instrument that shows how much added value our social enterprise „produces“ for the common good according to many test criteria in an elaborate development process in which many people around the company were actively involved.
